BPC Import Data manager package BW - Reject output

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to automate the output of the rejected records when loading data via BW. We're running BPC 11.1 Standard on BW4/Hana. When I load my data I can of course view details > Rejected records > File > Save Context As to download the rejected lines but I want to be able to output this automatically either in BW via the process chain or in BPC. Has anyone managed this. We don't manage the data loads centrally so need the business to own the rejections and correct at source before the reload.

Thanks.

Hi Vadim,

Thanks for your input. Master data loads happen prior to transaction loads triggering. The rejects are mainly where we have derivation of one or more of the dimensions like Brand from multiple source dimensions and one of those is missing. I agree the source data needs to be cleansed but while we're getting there we need to enable the business to be able to identify the records that have failed and correct the missing data at source. On your point about writing code to extract from the logs, do you have more details of the log tables etc so I can point my Abapers in the right direction.

Strange idea! What is the benefit of storing rejected records in BW??? How you can use stored records?

For sure it's possible to write ABAP code to extract records from the log but you can't trigger this code immediately after package completed.

In most cases reject happens when master data is missing. And master data load is done centrally. Think about preventing rejections.
