Add Transportation Cost to materials

Hello,

we have recently move to Sap4Hana Public and we have a situation that stop us to distribute transportation cost to materials after inbound delivery is made.

My question is:

How can we distribute the transportation cost to materials if we have this scenario (example):

1. we have in PO 3 materials but 2 of them are received into plant

2. we have a CI (commercial invoice)  for these materials form supplier - but in the invoice we have more then 1 PO.

3. we have a transportation cost from thirty party that include separate deliveries (total amount is 1500$)

3.1. transportation cost - 1000$ to PO  4500000001 and 500$ are to PO 4500000002

4. the inbound deliveries are two 180000001 (for 4500000001) and 180000002 (for 4500000002)

Your Business prices owner in Accounting should describe you what is the base for transportation cost distribution should be applied for such case. It might be Weight, Value, Volume or Size, etc.

Then, with reference to IAS2 Inventory you can distribute it as follow:

PO=1 ITEM=10 BASE=X Distribution=1000*x/(x+y)

          ITEM=20 BASE=Y Distribution=1000*y/(x+y)

          ITEM=30 BASE=Z Distribution=0

****let's assume that you have 2 items in PO2**********

PO=2  ITEM=10 BASE=K Distribution=500*K/(K+L)

          ITEM=20 BASE=L Distribution=500*L/(K+L)

*It might be Weight, Value, Volume or Size, etc. / You are correct, my apologies. The distribution is applied on base Value.

So, do you have any difficulties with manual distribution or are you looking for some automatic distribution options? Is everything clear now?

I am looking for automatic distribution options because we have so many items in single PO. The commercial invoice include many POs and if we have to manually create in the PO by items it is going to be disaster
