YGR1 - Delete accounts from chart of account and massupload

Dear all,

currently we are preparing the Q System and we are wondering weather we are able to mass upload our accounts from our group chart of accounts. Unfortunately, I cant seem to find in "Migration" section anything, nor an app. Also we have noticed that the predefined accounts are for us unusable and we would like to delete all of them. Please let us know otherwise we need to create them manually.

Hi Dejan,

the group CoA YGR1 is delivered just with one demo data account since 1908 release and you need to create and assign all the accounts needed manually.

In the starter all demo data is activated because you need it for fit to standard and demo purposes but in Q you will start with a blank paper and you will have to create all the accounts manually as mentioned in the test script linked to scope item 3AF https://rapid.sap.com/bp/#/browse/scopeitems/3AF

If you hare an older system where group CoA was delivered with a list of group accounts you can only renumber the values using the apps mentioned here :

Deletion of the accounts is not possible at all at the moment in any of the predelivered CoA's

thanks for your information.

We also thought that with 1908 SAP will only deliver one demo data G/L account and that we have to create and assign all further accounts manually.

Nevertheless, SAP delivered the whole YGR1 with 156 G/L accounts, although Q-System was requested/provided in December 2019.

Do you have any idea why this is the case?

Hi Christoph,

sorry but i see in the test script that the process was reworked and the default values are activated again .

The expectation is to use the renumbering tool to change the values according to the project requirements.

This is a little confusing but makes my previous answer not valid anymore.
