Updating tax destination country via BAdI SD_SLS_MODIFY_HEAD_TAX not possible

We have business requirements for which the goods recipient's country is not relevant for tax determination but a different country, e.g.:

If goods are not being shipped but picked up by customer, the country of the plant is relevant for tax determination as tax destination country.

BAdI SD_SLS_MODIFY_HEAD_TAX can be used to update several different tax related fields in sales order head data, for example tax departure country. Unfortunately, it is not possible to update tax destination country with this BAdI and there seems to be no alternative.

What is your advice to cover this requirement?

Hi Mihaela,

the parameter VATREGISTRATIONCOUNTRY in the BAdI mentioned by you will update the tax destination country/ region in the sales order.
