Updating Bank master data after Golive with Migration Cockpit

Hello

I found a line in the migration object information help for "Bank" as below. 

Do Not Overwrite Existing Data

This is an indicator field to determine whether or not to overwrite an existing bank.

If the indicator field is empty, the system overwrites an existing bank. If you don’t want to overwrite an existing bank, enter X.

It seems we can perform mass change for bank master data in the system. I thought it would be great if we can still use this function on a daily base even after Golive. For example, item field: Bank Groups or text.

Does anyone know if that is possible and have the experience?

Hello Eitaro,

As mentioned in SAP Note https://me.sap.com/notes/2684818 The APIs used within the delivered data migration content are APIs to create data. They can be used to initially migrate data. The update of existing data is therefore not supported.

The SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit tool and content is not intended and not recommended to be used as a kind of interface to permanently or frequently load data into a system. Content will be permanently adapted and therefore the templates used in one release might not be used anymore with higher releases.

It could also be that an object will be deprecated or being obsolete with a new release. The SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit tool and content is not built to be used as a kind of mass processing app to change or update existing data. You should use the provided interfaces or mass processing apps of the business object application area instead.
