Hi Sir,

I have created tyre material number with serial number profile assigned to it(In plant data storage2 with serial number profile 0001-integrated serial numbers.I made PO and trying to do GRN , during the GRN i want to mention the tyre number which will have on tyre.But i am getting error...error is attached.untitled.jpg

Please help me in resolving the issue.

Your serial number profile (OIS2) specifies the equipment category to be created.

Ensure this equipment category has a number range assigned in the IMG (OIEN).

When i create a material with number range SAP internally create material as equipment right..

How can in assign number range for that..can you guide me..

This is not about the material number range (object MATERIALNR), which you might already have assigned, but about the equipment number range, which is another object EQUIP_NR. Follow the transactions mentioned by Pete. Check the Equipment Category in OIS2 for the profile 0001. Then in OIEN click "Groups" and check there is a number range assigned to your category.
