My requirement is to hide plant for ME11 and ME12 transaction. I am able to do this with SHD0 but my question is do I need to do this separately for ME11 and ME12 or is there any way to do both of them in a single screen variant.
You can use the same screen variant to hide "plant" field. However you'd need to have two separate transaction variants for ME11 and ME12, so you can assign screen variant to these transactions and to set transaction variants as standard. Standard variants are used whenever you call a transaction.
Even if I am hiding plant for both ME11 and ME12, still it creates plant specific info records since there is a default plant in Parameters at user level (in SU01).
