T510 and T710 decision for IT0008

Hi All,

I have an issue with Planned compensation and Basic Pay.

For IT0008, how the decision of referring the table from t510 or t710 is made??

I am aware that there is a toggle switch in IT0008, Edit, Remuneration types... from which I can change. But I dont want to use this and want this to be decided by the system automatically. User or upload program cant do this as it is manual.

I am also aware that the feature Tarif defaults the Payscale type/Payscale area/Remuneration type. But I use tarif only for payscale type not for others.

I also use table T001P to default pay scale area based on Personnel Area and sub area.

I have a Planned compensation info type maintained in IT1005.

Question: How does the system decides on what table (T510 or T710) to be referred when creating IT0008?

For Eg,

1. If there are entries in T710 for a pay scale type, area, group and level and there are no entries in T510, how will the system behave. Does this mean that the system will directly look for T710. In this case, why does the system throws the error "No entry in T510 for the key etc etc"

2. If there are entries in both T710 and T510, how does the system react?

3. If there are entries in T510 and no entries in T710, then how?

Regards

Dear Vj,

If you would use both T510 and T710 you should configure both. User can decide to use which one by Edit > Change Remuniration Type in IT0008.

Have look at Jimsons reply at http://scn.sap.com/message/14467852#14467852

Hi Omid,

Thanks for your response.

I dont want to use both. I want to use only T710. But I wanted to know on what basis the reference is picked between T510 and T710. And I dont wanted to do manual selection of Remuneration type in IT0008.

I believe there is something in the table PA -- Payroll data -- Basic Pay -- Display View for Pay scale Area/Payscal type which has some link in deciding which table to refer. Not sure though.

Hi vj,

As Yury said if you define salary or pay scale, for example for a position by assigning that position to EE system automatically will show pay grade or pay scale in IT0008.

By the way you must config V_T710CL (or V_T710CL_B) and V_T510 (or V_T510_C) too.

Hi Yury Sichov,

I have chosen T710 in 1005 info type.

But still the system throws error as "No entry in T510 for the key etc etc". I was not sure why it is referring T510 and throwing the error. Could this be because of missing entries in PA -- Payroll data -- Basic Pay -- Display View for Pay scale Area/Payscal type???
