System not showing any warning & error message during timesheet entry

Hi Expert,

Testcase - Investment project with resource demand

While creating timesheet entry for a project ,system is not showing any warning or error massage for budget overrun . Though it is not posting the actual cost more than the budget through manage my timesheet app , but the warning & error message are coming during other transactions like PR /PO's .

Is it a standard process or need to do some additional configuration.

Hi Sandeep,

This is standard design.

When creating PO/PR, the system will create commitment, and the commitment will take up the budget.

Thanks for replying . Could you please help me to understand the Resource demand request Budget checks for warning & error during actual timesheet entry (though manage my timesheet) against a WBS .

In my case system is posting the cost without giving any warning / Error message .

Example - Available budget is 1000 USD (All activity groups are selected for warning -90% ,Error-100%)

1.Actual timesheet is posted ,approved & Actual cost is posted till 1000 USD with out warning messages.

2.Actual timesheet is posted & auto approved for more Hours, but no actual cost is posting more than 1000 USD without any error messages.

Is there any way to activate the warning or error message during timesheet entry , for informing the user for budget overrun .
