Stock reservation for a future order

Dear ATP/Planning Experts,

I would like to know what is the best solution for the below requirment:

I am expecting a SO to arrive in the near future. Can I block stock (reserve stock) for such a future SO?

This is required as I have a sales subsidiary on an 2nd ERP where the SO is entered but fulfilled by the HQ in the 1st(main) ERP where the original customer SO will be routed as SO(original)->PO->IDOC->SO(from Subsidiary) to the HQ ERP system. During this time I would like to make some reservations for the quantity in the original SO.
