Sequence determination of storage location in production order

Dear all,

I changed a storage location of some materials in the material master MRP2 view from BA01 to BA09. There is no sLoc in the BOM. The supply area in the work center still have the old sLoc BA01 and I can´t change it.

When I create the prod. Order SAP is getting the sLoc from the supply area in the WC (BA01) and not from MMaster (BA09)..

I´m wondering where I can change the sequence to get the sLoc from:

WC ==> BOM ==> Material Master to:

Material Master ==> BOM ==> WC.

There´s any standard customization to change this?

Hi,

Remove the Supply area in WC, if you need to pick from different Storage location. System will always check the Work Center first.

Hi Karthi,

I can´t remove it. We use it for WM purposes. But know some VERP components will be consumed in a different sLoc.

Do you think there´s any exit to make it SAP look for the MMaster first?

Hi,

Can you check with stock determination rule in MRP2 view, I never did that for storage location determination except for consignent stock issue. Please do a test data in sandbox and do the config for the stock determination and assign the rule to MRP2 and test

Or

Create on more Workcenter without Supply area and assign the supply area with the required storage location and assign the VERP materials to the routing line item, so when the TO is getting created in WM, it will check the supply area for the work center.
