Scope Of List - Option "A" view - ME57

WHY have all non-ALV views been removed from ME57, along with the Scope of List option??? Is there any thought to bring these back? ALV is extremely inefficient to use and has added significant time to processing.

Questions:

I was able to "Assign Automatically" in "A", but cannot find an option to do so in ALV. Is there a way to do this?

Is there a easier way to click into the PRs from ALV other than having to go to each assignment, double click the icon, then click into the PR? Clicking in from the grid would cut alot of time from processing.

For example, you can:

- outline what steps you took to find answers (and why they weren't helpful)

- share screenshots of what you've seen/done

- make sure you've applied the appropriate tags

- use a more descriptive subject line.

The more details you provide, the more likely it is that members will be able to respond. Feel free to also take our Q&A tutorial Q&A tutorial

Along with ME_USE_GRID check user parameter ACCESSIBILITY_MODE.

I honestly totally disagree with your statement - I think the ALV grid is fantastic! It just takes some time to get used to it. It is much more powerful than the 3 line reports and allows a much better analysis of the data displayed on the screen

Which transaction specifically are you looking into? The selection screen for some transactions is set up in SPRO, someone might have hidden the Scope of List there.

The ALV grid is fantastic - in every screen other than ME57, which is one of the only screens that SAP has removed the option from. I actually didn't realize I was asking this question to the community. It was directed at SAP. Unfortunately the option isnt hidden, its no longer available, and has made my whole teams lives hell trying to do our jobs through ALV where the process has become extremely fiddly and increased processing time by around 45-60 seconds per PR - Not great when you process 200+ daily!

What do you mean that 'SAP has removed the option' ?

Was a support pack or enhancement pack recently implemented? Which ECC version are you on?

Are you responsible for the configuration at your company or is someone else responsible?

There are many different reasons for this to happen.

I don't mean to be a pain - but from experience - most of the issues that users have with the ALV grid is due to lack of training. Take detailed look at what you're doing in ME57, why is it different in the ALV grid and what you can do in the ALV grid or in a different transaction to 'process' the reqs.

Check assigning parameter ME_USE_GRID for the user/s in SU01 and then check report again!
