Scope ID 40Y Intercompany Reconciliation will not help to clear the items like Automatic Clearing

Hi All,

We are using Scope ID 40Y Intercompany Reconciliation in SAP Cloud system. We have followed every step given by SAP, steps followed given below:
1. Scheduled Matching Run Job 2. Reconciliation Status Overview (Display) 3. Reconciliation Balances (Display) 4. Manage Assignments - By Reconciliation Case( Here we automatched few items and assigned few items manually by giving reason code which are missed in Job) 5. Display Matching Items 6. Manage Reconciliation Close

We did all above steps, here what we observed was the items which are matched automatically system is creating assignment numbers, but it is not clearing open items like what Automatic Clearing is doing. Can anyone confirm 40Y will not help to clear the items like Automatic Clearing?

No, ICMR doesn't support clearing.

Clearing and matching are two different activities. Clearing is triggered when the actual payment happens; it reconciles an invoice and a payment within a company. However, matching is to match a customer invoice and a vendor invoice that belong to two different companies.

There is no correlation between the two activities. One cannot say if a customer invoice was created on the seller side and a corresponding vendor invoice was created on the buy side, and then you can clear both invoices with no knowledge of whether the actual payments happened.
