RTI FPS Report Issue

Hi there,

I am having difficulty submitting the first FPS report for a specific tax ref.

The other tax ref FPS reports that were submitted were ok (albeit after an initial issue with a very selective amount of employees data - postcodes with ‘-‘s).

After speaking with HMRC, they provided me with 100 employees who the FPS was failing for (which causes the whole FPS report to be rejected). This was mainly due to new starter details missing in IT0065 which have now been added.

But… after retrying, the FPS is still being rejected by HMRC! They have now provided 20 employees who are causing the issue which I am working on resolving urgently!

Because time is now not on my side before the new month’s tax period.

I have asked HMRC if the FPS can be submitted in 2 stages (ie get the bulk submitted excluding the 20, work to resolve the 20 and then submit them at a later date).

HMRC say that they are more than happy to have an FPS for the employees which are passing their checks (ie exclude the 20) and accept a late submission for the 20. HMRC do say to check that your software will accommodate this.

So, my question is… Can SAP run the FPS report in 2 stages for one tax month?

Any input would be warmly welcomed and a showering of SCN points awarded!

Cheers,

Will

Hi Will,

The "repeat submission" feature is designed for this. Exclude the 20 people from your run and submit. When they are sorted, run the FPS again selecting "repeat submission" on selection screen. This will open a field for the reference of the original run. You find the number in the B2A manager under "obectID" (or so) - may have to unhide this column.

As repeat rund the program will automatically create the FPS for all missing Pernrs.

I would recommend though, to do this reapeat run before submitting next month's FPS for that tax ref. Not sure what happens, if the sequence is broken.

Kind regards

Thanks Sven.

This is exactly what I did in the end.

Hi Will

As the problem is urgent & relates to a specific question on options with running & submitting the FPS , I suggest you also raise an OSS message to ask for advice, if you have not already done so, while awaiting for expert response here.

Best wishes,
