Reverse Material Document. Date issue.

Hello!

Could you please let me know how to reverse the material document?
Normally, for example, if we are going to reverse the material document of 1 month ago, and if material documents were created after that material-plant, then it is necessary to reverse the date (which date?) from top to bottom. But someones say there is no need if the stock is sufficient, or if it is in the same period. I need details on this. Can you help me?

I am giving an example because I need detail.

1. If I get the reversal of the material document dated 01.04.22 below, how should I deal with the other material documents?

Should it be based on the document date or the current date?

Total stock is 100 boxes for X material.

Hi,

While Cancelling Material Document , there should to be sufficient Stock required weather it is in Current Period of Past period.

As per Standard SAP, System will reverse document on the same date when it was posted, but you can change it as current date while reversing document.

HI,

For 1 st case,

If you would like reverse the Mat. Doc of Dated 01.04.2022 then as per your case, you need to reverse consumption entry of Qty 150 with the same Posting date when it was entered, So now your Stock will be showing Un-restricted Use as Qty - 150., So you can reverse your GR Doc. no with Qty 50 in same the same Posting Date 01.04.2022. But be sure that our stock should not be quality Inspection, other wise , you have to reverse this also before GR cancellation.

I don't think show you need to reverse from bottom to top . I have tried also.

2nd case

you can reverse your consumption entry of 200 qty , so you can reverse your GR Entry.

3rd case,

You have stock of 206 qty, so you can directly reverse the GR Entry.

These are my observations. If you found anything different then let me know.
