Hi,
I am reading the below from note, 2268070 - S4TWL - Browser-based Process Instruction-Sheets/Electronic Work Instructions (https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2268070)
“Digital Manufacturing Cloud’s (DMC) Production Operator Dashboard (POD) will provide similar functionality as PI-sheets in future. It will allow displaying work instructions, recording of actual data, and enforcing predefined production processes.
My question is, is there any further information or documentation on this offering ? If companies have used PI Sheets and XSteps and if the solution is now to use SAP DMC then what is the path and best practice for the Process Manufacturing set up ?
Thanks David
Hi there,
SAP is working on a replacement solution for PI-Sheets. The tool in SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM) for Worker Guidance is planned to be the POD (Production Operator Dashboard). SAP DM already covers a large number of PI-sheet capabilities. For instance, the Guided Steps – Production Process can be used to guide workers through activities in a structured manner. The sequence of steps can be defined in a production process consisting of multiple PlugIns. SAP has a Customer Influence Council (CIC) with multiple engaged customers collaborating on future solutions for PI-Sheet replacements. Depending on the complexity of a customer’s PI-Sheet, it can already be replaced today with SAP DM. For more complex PI-Sheets (e.g., in Life Sciences industries), additional capabilities are on the roadmap. Workarounds and/or custom solutions may be discussed with an implementation partner.
