1. When you need help with an error, please specify the exact
message class and number of the error message. Mentioning an
approximation of the text is not as useful as you might think, because
many community members do not use regularly the SAP system in English.
And every potential helper will have to look up the exact message in
their system, which means that unless the question is really interesting
and well-written, most will give up.
2. "i have gone through
various articles and all but couldnt find one" does not provide useful information.
Members cannot know what exactly you have read or with what terms and
where you searched, which means duplicate effort.
3. There are no screenshots to illustrate the problem and not even a transaction code. People will try to reproduce your problem, but there is no information!
4. There is no mention whether the same problem occurs for all customers and in all systems or just for a specific customer. You could perform some troubleshooting before asking for help. If you have already done some tests and narrowed down the problem - it makes sense to provide this information in your original post - such details might speed up the resolution.
5. Assuming that
you are a functional consultant or a developer, you could do a number
of things, besides searching in Google:
5.1. Looking for notes in the support portal by using the message class and number as criterion.
5.2. Where-used for the message in SE91.
5.3. Searching for the message number in the code of the program.
5.4. Debugging (breakpoint at statement or message - depends on how old is your system).
If you still need help after you have done all steps in p.5 - update the question with the outcome of p.1, p.3, p.4 and p.5 and you will have higher chances of getting replies.
