Core Data Services folder not available in ABAP project in Eclipse with ADT

Hi All,

I am trying to create CDS views using Eclipse(Neon) with ADT installed. But I don't see 'Core Data Services' folder when I navigate to the below screen.

My ECC is NW 7.4 hence I believe CDS is supported.

Database is MaxDB.

Am I missing something ?

Menu Help --> About Eclipse

--> Installation details

--> Filter on keyword "CDS"

You should find "ABAP Core Development Tools"

Yup, it's there but still doesn't work. May be something to do with ECC version, it is 7.4 SPS 08 (09/2014).

soooo it should work.

Did you try to switch the perspective ?

I am in ABAP perspective only, should I move to any other perspective ?

Is there any configuration required in ECC to enable 'Core data services' section in ADT ? Please check.

Did you try to create a new object from a classical package $tmp, and search for object CORE ?
