Dear Team,

We have installed the latest version of SAP Business One 10 PL FP 2208. We have done all the configurations as per the administrator guide.

Browser service is installed and is working properly internally. But we cannot access the same externally.

All the ports required are open.

Our observation when we so setting of browser in SLD in External mapping tab option for selecting SLD is not available which was available till FP 2111.

Thanks,

Dinesh Chauhan

Hi hk-123,

Kindly confirm what is meant by Browser service?

Are you referring to Browser Access or Web Client?

Kind regards,

Hi Harshita,

Before 2208, setting external mapping with SLD, yes, was easy.

Why 2208 no? Because identity Providers change the way to connect users.

How to setting SLD redirection? Nobody knows yet.

Hi hk-123

Please check below points:

1.           Please check attached SAP Note 3228614 - Changes to Internal and External Network Settings

This is new feature for SAP Business One 10.0 FP 2208 and higher versions, make sure that the address is accessible to both internal and external networks. You can add a record in the DNS to make the address accessible for the internal networks.

After finishing mapping the addresses for all required components, you must restart the services on the machines on which they're installed.

2.           Check SAP Business One admin guide https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_BUSINESS_ONE_ADMIN_GUIDE_HANA/1a2fc202f7f64336abf9fbc957d9b9ba/6091ef3...

section Choosing a Method to Handle External Requests

As the Browser Access service, integration framework, mobile service, analytics service, and Web client enables you to access SAP Business One from external networks, it is essential that external requests can be sent properly to internal services.

To handle external requests, we recommend deploying a reverse proxy rather than using NAT/PAT (Network Address Translation/Port Address Translation). Compared with NAT/PTA, the reverse proxy is more flexible and can filter incoming requests.
