purchase requesation are automatically converting to planned order in next mrp run

Hi Sap Guru,

   I have a query regarding MRP Run

i am using planning strategy 60 &

individual/collective indicator for child material blank

procurement type external   F

System is generating planned order.

if i am changing

individual/collective indicator for child material 2

procurement type external   F

System is generating Purchase Requestation.

we are using background mrp run for every 4 hour

in that both MTS & MTO material requirment are clubbed of in a single planned order

so my doubt is after maintaining

procurement type external   F why system is generating planned order instead of pr.

Any body please put some light on it.

i have searched lot of thread i have not got any satisfactory answer.

Hello

One possibility is that MRP is executed directly by the sales order. It will happen if, on your sales order requirement type/class the flag "automatic planning" is set on customizing and all the materials assigned to the sales order special stock will be planned. When you change the individual/collective indicator, the component will not be assigned to the sales order special stock and it will not be planned when the sales order is created.

If this is the case, the planning parameters are hardcoded and the parameter "create purchase requisitions" is always set to 2. It means that MRP will create purchase requisitions on the opening period and planned orders outside.

Hi,Caetano,

  Thanks for your answer. i have checked strategy group automatic planning is active.

i have checked RFC suggested in sap note but in system these fields are not hardcoded.

But still planned generated last week ending with term stpo. i have not understood that planned order why it created with  stpo in last line.in pegging its showing as planned order & salesorder.

kindly help me to understand  planned order behavior.

Hi Cateno,

  if i am changing any master data  like chage lot size to wb to ex than also system started to generate planned order instead of purchase requsation i donot know why system is behaving like this

After that if i am changing lot size from wb to ex than it started to generate purchase requsation.

Currently we  donot use any  mrp group what ever mrp group releated to concern plant that created in system  with Creation indicator as not maintained

i have one query  for following point

1)34013 - MD04, MD05: Material type as MRP group

how to check this point in my system.

2)MRP: Creation indicators, PReq. or planned order

MD01,MD02,MD03 Tcode are bheaving properly no issue with this.

3)OPPQ. You can find on the section "external procurement"

it is maintained as no schedule line(blank)

if by debugging i can check whenever how changing any master data sytem start generating planned order.

Hello

If you can fix the issue by changing the lot sizing procedure, this is probably because you are running MRP with the option  "purchase requisitions in the opening period".

A WB lot sizing procedure would create a purchase requisition for the entire week, while EX creates a purchase requisition on the shortage date. Probably the replenishment proposal generated by WB is outside the opening period and that's why a planned order is create.

Make sure that you are running MRP with the option "purchase requisitions" or make sure that the scheduling margin key defined for your material has a longer opening period.
