Purchase order price reduced - Release strategy reset

Dear friends,

I’m facing an issue with purchase order release strategy.
When I reduce the price of the purchase order, the release strategy is reset and triggered all over again. As for my understanding, it should be triggered only when price of the PO is increases (according to tolerance that can be set in SPRO). Could you please help me understand why is this happening? Maybe a BAPI is implemented? Why does the release strategy is triggered when the price of my PO’s are reduced? I don’t assume it’s a normal standard behaviour of SAP standard. Please, assist me.

As per my knowledge, it is standard behavior. As long as there is a value change within percentage that you define in release indicator configuration it will trigger the reset of approval.
