PROJECTS TO BE USED IN SALES ORDERS

Dear community,

Any idea what options do we have to create sales orders/billing documents for projects/wbs elements?

I tried to create a project using Project control App (project profile: Project with revenue) but when I tried to create a sales order for it, I get the message:

User status INIT is active

Message no. BS014

In our scenario, we need a project that can be used for different customers. So, I don`t think that the J11 Scope item solves our request.

Thank you,

Diana

Indeed as of Release 2005 it is now possible to link a WBS element to a sales order line.

Hello Diana

Maybe you could relook at the 2005 release feature which is assigning a WBS element/work package as an account assignment object in SD item. We have a scope item planned in 2005 release for this.

Earlier you could only capture revenue through direct GL postings, now you could integrate SD process with EPPM projects within certain conditions.

Hi Brendan,

is it on the roadmap that it would be possible to create manual DMRs for enterprise projects (1NT)

especially for the ones with project type : Project with Revenue

Is there a workaround if you want to bill enterprise projects and have an output document ?

Kind regards

Here are some SAP resources you may review based on your topic "create | sales orders | create sales orders/billing documents | sales order | j11 scope item | control | community | app | project using project | project profile: project | revenue"

Customer Projects Migration - Part 1: Migration of Fixed Price ...

App: ... already posted hours via app: Enter Activity Allocation (Scope Item J11) ... Create billing documents for already billed revenue of the project.

After creating the customer project, the sales order is generated automatically when setting up the billing plan (in App Plan Customer Projects, Billing tab). The sales order is a 1:1 copy of the project, meaning that for each project there is one sales order and for each billing item there is a corresponding sales order item.

The opposite behavior - that is, creating the sales order first and generating a customer project out of it - is not supported.
