Parallel Valuation in Margin Analysis with several costing variants

Hi,

we are introducing S4 HANA at a customer with business scenario MTO production with variant configuration.

From controlling-department is the requirement to have a separate valuation view on the produced and sold materials. There should be one view relevant for stock valuation. This should be calculated with costing variant 1. For the controlling view the produced materials should be calculated with another costing variant 2, which takes other overhead rates and activity prices.

As I understand margin analysis doesn´t offer the additional valuation like in costing based COPA (TC KEPC).

How is the recomendation from SAP as alternative? I already checked the business function FIN_CO_COGM but it only covers additional activity types for one costing variant.

How can we realize this requirement in Margin analysis? Is it only actual costing in material ledger? Would this also give the parallel view in the sales order and subsequent production order based on the variant configuration?
