OMFS not applicable to all document types

We are trying to configure Fields Relevant to Printout of Change (OMFS) to not retrigger an output message when Delivery Date is updated. This works as expected for Standard PO doc type, but for our Ariba specific doc type (EDI), output message is still getting generated.

Hi Scott,

I don´t have ARIBA experience but will still make a comment here, just ignore it if it´s completely off.

Could it be that in the case of standard PO in the ERP the system simply assumes the config in your print screen (like a typical form print out), but when we are in the ARIBA scenario the ERP must inform the connected system on important changes like the delivery date?

All the best,

For some reason I couldn't respond directly to Goncalo but here you go...

When the change is made to the PO in S4, a new output type for ariba gets created on the PO in S4. That specific output type is what informs S4 to send the updated PO to Ariba. For Ariba PO types, we are not wanting the actual message to created for certain changes and therefore not be sent from S4 to Ariba

Hey Scott,

Hope someone with hands on experience could step in and point you on a better direction.

In any case I wonder if it´s ok to have deviating info between the ERP and Ariba. In the ERP and SRM relationship this would not be allowed for a key field like delivery date, but this is not really the case.

All the best,
