Former Member

Hi,

We have a contract release order which is partially Invoiced and now have Increased the value of the Contract yyy by xxx and we tried to Increase the value of the PO by xxx we get the error message Target value of the contract yyy exceeds by xxx.

PO is a multiple line PO and the line we are tring to increase Is partially Invoiced.

PO is not GR relevant. Also when we try to release a new PO for the increased value we are not getting this error.

Kindly advice on the same and also let me know, if there is any SAP note for this error.

Hi, Mosy of the times SAP will not get refreshed if you do a change to the master data after a document is created . Probably this could be the reason . Regards,

Can you show some evidence that the contract target value is larger enough to cover your change?

Yes, when I create a new PO. it accepts this increased value. only it is not possible to increase in this existing PO.

this is not the answer to my question.

If the target value is higher than the released values then the error message would be wrong in ME22N.

If the target value is not high enough then it would be wrong to create a new call off in ME21N without getting this error message.

In both cases it  could be a potential bug in the SAP programs, I recommend that you search for OSS notes, I could find 13 just by a search using the message number 06042.

Did the Message no. 06042 set as "Error" or "Warning"?  If warning, then change it to error.

Hi Rosh,

It is a error Message. we will not be allowed to change it to warning message (system config).
