Material gets reserved for open sales order

Hi ,

When i create new sales order for a perticular qty. , and when create delivery for same order , delivery not created delivery field empty.  after checking found that material gets reserved for open sales order. Material number is same for open sales order and newly created order.

please do the needful to get resolve the above issue

Sourabh, if you dont want system to reserve your stock against sales order then check in VOV6 for your schedule line category remove the check from Req./Assembly and Prod.allocation. I once had the opposite requirement to reserve the stock against open sales order and reverted settings worked well for me. So if you unchcek these 2 options, system will not reserve any stock against open sales order. Feel free to ask in case you need further help on this. Thanks.

Hi,

Please check the stock type of the available stock.

May be you are following Make To Order scenario and the stock posted is against a particular sales order. Please check and confirm.
