LTMC: our UoM has no ISO code

Hello, SAP Support!

My team is currently using LTMC (Legacy Transfer Migration Cockpit) and having trouble with the mapping of some ISO codes. We're using some Units of Measure (UoM) that don't seem to have an ISO code, so when we try to upload their data with the ISO code field empty, the system throws an error.

Why does LTMC need those ISO codes? How do we circumvent this? Are there any workarounds available?

Thanks and best regards,
Data migration team

Hello, team!

The usage of ISO codes on LTMC is a standardized practice that aims to provide a default value mapping across many different system conditions, like different system languages, for instance. Since SAP S/4HANA's architecture is built considering the mapping of UoM to ISO codes, the Data Migration tools also follow the same practice.

The KBA below explains this in further details, while also providing a link to where ISO codes are centrally maintained and offering workarounds in case you didn't find the necessary ISO codes for your UoM:

I hope this addressed all your questions!

Best regards,
SAP Support
