Line item causes scrap value of 9272.84.00 to be violated

Hi All,

I am receiving the below error when posting to asset in F-02

“Line item causes scrap value of 9272.84.00 to be violated” .

Even we maintained the below parameters

1 Scrap Value% in AS02

2..Cuttoff Value key in AFAMA

3.Screen Layout for Scrap Value % in Optional Mode in AO21

4. Memo Value is 0 in OAYI for the company code

I found the solution that once i remove the Cuttoff Value Key in AFAMA the above mentioned error will be vanish

Please let me know why i received the error after proper maintenance for the Asset..

HI Anil,

This error will only come, when you put the Cutoff value key in Dep. Key.

If you have maintained 5% Cutoff value key. System would give the error if your Asset value reach below the 5% of Gross APC.

In your case, Asset Net book value is lower by 9272 than the Cutoff Value.

So removing the Cutoff value key is only the option, to get rid off this.

Thanks for the swift response !!!

But i maintained all the required parameters in Quality system for testing purpose but i am surprised by seeing the same error even i maintained the below parameters for the same asset in Quality system

1 Scrap Value% (5%)in AS02

2.Cuttoff Value key (SCM)for Dep Key (LIFE) in AFAMA

3.Screen Layout for Scrap Value % in Optional Mode in AO21

4. Memo Value is 0 in OAYI for the company code

Is there any alternative optional available Inspite of removing Cutoff Value Key for Dep Key.

If not what is your suggestion for the rest of the assets for not reiterate the same issue
