Inconsistencies S4H 1809 and S4H 1909

Can you help me?

In my work have 2 servers with S4H, those servers are connect and repiclate the data. One serves have the versión 1809 and the other the version 1609.

They want to upgrade the last one to the version 1909 or 2020.

Are there any document or for experience you know if conect this versions 1809 with 1909 and1809 with 2020 have any problems with connection for the structure? or the diference in both(1809 vs 1909 and 1809 vs 2020).

It is recommended to keep systems that interact with each other on similar version and upgrade them together to same release every time. You could face incompatibilities at some point or the other if the servers are on different releases. It would be difficult to predict the outcome if they are on different releases. There will be structure changes which would affect replication but this depends based on what data you are replicating.
