I cannot check in and open files in DMS

I have been working in a document on SAP DMS for the past 3 weeks and yesterday all of a sudden, after I opened it, I could not check it in again and now I can also not open it at all.

The errors I get are:

For opening: "Cannot start application for .... file. The system cannot find file specified."

For checking in: "File does not exist in check out path. It may have been deleted or not downloaded when checked out".

The funny part is that I can find the document on the web and can open it from there.

The problem is that I have not used it in any different way that I used it before so I cannot explain why this is happening.

Hi

could you please provide a few screenshots of the CV03N screens and the settings in DC30?

Because quite often this "Cannot start application..." error is raised because of a missing file suffix for the local copy.
