Hello Folks,

Am working for a client in China they have a requirement stating to map all the expenses done for R&D to be accounted in SAP. Since in China there is a tax benefit if we show the expenses done for R&D to the government. Does anyone have any idea on how to map it in SAP if someone can throw some light will be much helpful. I have gone thought he blog but i was unable to find one

Regards,

Sanoob

sanoob.thambi,

If you want the standard approach its by only using "Project System". Otherwise based upon objects you are consuming and considering for cost consumption you can use different orders types and book it.

Thanks

You can use Internal Orders as a cost object to charge against. They are very easy to configure. PP Orders are not a good idea as they are not designed for this purpose.

You would create a PS project for the R&D effort and use normal business processes to charge the project objects.

I would also recommend you research Project System in help.sap.com

Hello Ken Melching,

Thanks for your suggestions unfortunately we are not having PS Module in our landscape hence we are looking if this can be mapped by integrating with FI-PP
