How to duplicate and then edit a system layout template

Dear SAP community,

I am having troubles with duplicating (editing) system layouts in Print Layout Designer (PLD). /SAP B1, add-ons Coresuite Designer

If I simply duplicate a system template under "New xxx", I do not have the access to the PLD with an error message "Layout aborted : No permission for Layout"

On the other hand, am able to open a PLD, edit a system layout and even then print it, however the systen does not allow me to save the changes, the system message is 'This is an read only system template. Changes can not be saved back!'.

I will be extremely grateful for any input, so far I have to manually make single changes every time, or create custom layouts from the very beginning

Go to edit layout click on save as and save with different name then it will allow you to edit

Hi,

It is not possible to directly edit system layouts (PLD). You have to make of copy of system layout and then you can modify the layout.
