How to build Interfaces between SAP PI (rel 7.11) and S4HC (for BP and FI posting)

Hi the whole Community,

We have to setup 2 interfaces (One for BP update from S4HC to SAP PI ver 7.11, et one for FI posting from  SAP PI to S4HC).

S4HC to SAP PI : It is said that ver 7.11 of SAP PI doesn't support Web services, so we would be forced to use Idocs ... How to do it, what is the customization procedure ?

SAP PI (ver 7.11) to S4HC : Does SAP PI have an embedded access to S4HC API ?

Hi Patrick,

To start with I am not sure about the feasibility of SAP PI as a supported middleware to integrate S4HANA Cloud application with an on premise system.

Cloud to on-premise integration are supported via Cloud Connector or using SAP Cloud Platform Integration via pre-delivered end-to-end business process integration scenarios between SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP On-premise or SAP Cloud products

You should be able to consume SOAP APIs in S/4 with the SOAP adapter in SAP PI. I don't think there is an OData adapter yet with the PI version 7.11. You can simply download the WSDL of the SOAP API from API Business Hub into your PI ESR and start testing it. For S4 --> PI you need the cloud connector as mentioned.
