How does system select AQL when creating inspection lot?

Dear Gurus,

I have a question regarding selection of AQL as per ISO 2859-1. SAP has given many sampling procedures for this ISO standard, an example is given below:

The sampling scheme in the above procedure has tables based on combination of Inspection severity and AQL value:

The above sampling procedure is linked to DMR S01 and S02 (also given by SAP):

Using all of the above data I created an inspection plan for a material. I maintained DMR as S01 in the inspection plan header, and sampling procedure S121214M against an inspection characteristic.

Now when I go to maintain the Quality level for this material and a supplier, I face the problem: Where am I supposed to specify the AQL value for the next inspection? The only option I get is to specify the next stage, which is 40 - Normal Inspection 1. Is there any link between this and the AQL value?

In other words, how does system know which AQL value to select?

Hi Nihal,

In the sampling procedure the is the button 'additional data' where you can set the AQL value.

The DMR is defining between which severities the system will automatically switch.
