Our 3PL warehouse posts Goods Issue for delivery document in our SAP ERP system using idoc message type SHP_OBDLV_CONFIRM_DECENTRAL.
We plan on inserting an indicator in the idoc structure (probably HU Header) to let us know when the HU is packed as a Cross-Delivery HU. The FM IDOC_INPUT_SHPOBDLVCONFIRM_DEC must then populate structure HANDLING_UNIT_HEADER_CROSS instead of HANDLING_UNIT_HEADER. When testing this in debug mode, the HU is still created in VEKP as object 01 (Outbound Delivery) and not 21 (Cross-Outbound Delivery) as expected.
The reason why we need it to be created as 21 (Cross-Outbound Delivery) is so that if the delivery picked from our 3PL warehouse is for another warehouse which is on EWM, that HU will not be created as Cross-Delivery in EWM and a new HU will automatically be created in EWM for the second delivery referencing that HU number (which is a problem). The queue that sends the delivery info to EWM will only populate the segment HANDLING_UNIT_HEADER_CROSS if the HU has object 21 in VEKP.
Is there any setup needed to allow cross-delivery HU's for a delivery or warehouse or is that purely handled by the delivery packing or HU assignment process?
