Extra access restrictions for PO in ByD

Hi experts,

I have a question from one of our clients.

They have dedicated employees for some dedicated accounts. which means that this employee will deal with a specific customer or set of customers always and will never deal with other customers. So is it possible to add more restrictions to the user either from front end or back end using PDI to limit the visibility of this user to the accounts that he only manages.

So in the PO list he can only see the POs associated with his account and nothing else (if we done it with the filter, the user will be able to remove the filter and see everything). and when the user wants to create a new PO he only can see the account he/she is associated with.

Any suggestions in this case? has anyone done it before?

Thanks in advance,

Mousa

Hello,

C4C offers a BADI CustomAccessControlListWrite which can handle such a complex filtering logic via custom ABSL script but I am not sure if ByD also has this BADI as part of the namespace http://sap.com/xi/AP/FO/MOM/Global.Pls check if this work for ByD as well and let me know in case you need any further help.

Hi Mousa,

Unfortunately I don't think it's possible. Users can set up various OWL filter defaults to include only entries that meet certain parameters, but there's nothing stopping them from just selecting 'all POs' so far as I know. The most granular it can get is controlling read/write access to the view in general.

The only way around it so far as I know is to have a custom PO work centre --- then you can remove the 'all POs' list of results, as obviously custom screens can have a lot more configuration.
