Error- Account determination for entry gbb 0001 bsa 3100 not possible

Sir

System was picking the transaction key INV but now when there is a stock transfer or upload thru mb11 or mb1c the error of - Account determination for entry GBB 0001 BSA 3100 not possible

What should we check from FI side. Tried OBYC not getting any clue and we have not been using the transaction key BSA. We have been using INV only

Hi Anuradha,

Which movement type are you using? If you are uploading with movement type 561, then you have to maintain the GL account for the general modification key BSA under the key GBB in OBYC. However, you can check the account assignment for each material in OMWB. So check for the movement type which account assignments will require.

We had added the account key in BSA now in OBYC and the issue is resolved.

But query is how can the system all of  sudden throw error for BSA mising after so many years. Help how to track of this change from INV to BSA.

When is BSA and when is INV

Hi Anuradha,

System always post to the key BSA when you upload the initial balance and the key INV is used for post physical stock differences. So the two keys are used for different purpose. It wont possible for upload the stock it hits to INV instead of BSA. Check your old entries in the table BSEG, here system will update the key used for posting.
