Employee Substitution shouldn't calculate additional pay

Employees are regularly moved from one work schedule to another and the real work pattern is maintained in 3rd party system. Their defaul work pattern in SAP (IT 7) is not disturbed for a long time since the work schedule determination within SAP is too complex. So there's a difference in work pattern maintained in 3rd party and SAP. When an employee goes on sickness absence, their absence has to fall on working day within SAP to calculate SSP and hence manually the working dates are identified and updated in IT2001.

We tried using IT2003 (substitution) for updating the work pattern but then it still considers IT0007 work pattern as default and substiution days are considered as topup on IT7 days while paying to a salaried employee.

For eg. If subsitution is updated as a working day for an Off day marked in IT 7 than additional payment is paid to the employee.

Our requirement is that substitution days should be considered as overlay of IT7 and not topup on IT7 work pattern.

Can someone please guide on how this can be achieved.

Thanks.

Ajit.
