Creation of Credit memo request instead of credit memo for condition contract settlement

Currently for condition contract settlement, we create credit notes during settlement.

But due to certain business concerns in China business, we need to understand if system will allow us to create a credit memo request for settlement.
Users will create credit notes from this Credit memo request manually by entering the amount as needed.

One unit of business (AR business in China) is not able to create a single settlement for the condition contract. According to the process they follow, they will create one credit memo each month and back the customer in parts over a period of time.

For example if we need to pay a rebate of 1000 EUR for a year, they will play back this amount in monthly installments. Also amount for each month is calculated manually.
Partial settlement option we have currently does not work either.
Can you please advise if we can create a credit memo request as condition contract settlement instead credit memo.
If not, do we have any alternate solution for condition contract settlement where multiple settlement documents can be created manually?

Kindly advise if any further questions.

Hi tcs.sol-team,

Settlement Management will not be able to create a Credit memo request for a Settlement.

If you need to send a request to your customer instead of creating a Customer open line item directly (credit memo) then I would advise you to look into:

- Proforma Settlement document, or

- Used a posting block for the Credit memo then a process to release it by business

If the monthly rebates is always a manual calculation (and for partial settlement dates), I would recommend to use Manual Settlement document, as the adjustments or verified condition types will require a very high level of maintenance and discipline.

Monthly fixed amount can be managed as well within Condition Contract, but those amounts need to be defined prior the contract ends, and may required heavy maintenance in the condition contract.
