Change displayed Field length of field midnm (p0002-midnm) 0002 - Personal Data

Hi, I've been asked to look at something and I'm not an INFOTYPE / Personnel Administration expert.

In PA20/PA30 on the Personal Data screens we show the field "Middle Name" and it allows display/entry of 25 characters.

However the field at the data dictionary P0002-MIDNM allows for 40 characters. Is there a way via the configurable screen controls to display and allow entry for the full 40 characters?

You can't change dynpro 2000 without modification.

But you could enhance infotype 0002 (tcode PM01), create your own field zzmidnam and move p0002-midnm there at PBO.

It doesn't look nice but fulfils the requirement 🙂
