We have observed that S4 HANA Public Cloud offer the Cash flow statement - An indirect method only for the UK.

However, we need a cash flow statement by Direct method for management purposes (business, not legal, requirement).

We checked and were able to confirm that Cash Flow Statement direct method is available only for China, Poland and South Korea. CBC node for cash flow statement: Can you please help us to know - how to achieve this business requirement in SAP S4 HANA Cloud?

I can confirm, that the Cash Flow Statement – direct method is only available for few S/4HANA Cloud localizations.
If you need it for your implementation you could try to restructure the FSV for cash flow reporting and adjust the assignment of Semantic Tags in a way that it fits your need. You can find a comprehensive overview for all Semantic Tags and how they are used in formulas of the underlying CDS view here:

https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_CLOUD/0fa84c9d9c634132b7c4abb9ffdd8f06/0af5840d0c2d45b089719f6e...

The limitation for this approach is, that you can’t change how the Semantic Tags are used in the reports or KPI’s defined by SAP (https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2538634).

If you want to use additional/different Semantic Tags and/or additional/different calculation logic for the measures shown in the report you need to create a custom query. This allows you to change the report format and the formulas. For doing that, use the Custom Analytical Queries app and copy the existing query C_CASHFLOWINDIRECTIFRS

See also SAP Note ´3108428 - Customizing Cash Flow Statement (Indirect Method) Using Custom Analytical Queries´ which contains a PDF document describing how to customize the Cash Flow Statement using a custom query.
