Hi,
This is regarding the TCS Withholding Tax functionality for India localization in SAP Business One. Right now, when we enter an A/R Invoice for a customer, the A/R TCS Interim Account gets Credited. For e.g.
A/R TCS Interim Account: 100 Cr.
When we receive the payment and we reconcile it directly in the Incoming Payments (by selecting the invoices), the TCS amount automatically transfers from the Interim to the Payable Account. The Journal Entry is:
A/R TCS Interim Account: 100 Dr
A/R TCS Payable Account: 100 Cr
Also, the Interim Account debit line and credit line get automatically reconciled.
The working is correct as the TCS is Payable only at the time of receipt of payment. However, this does not happen when we manually reconcile the payment with the invoice. We are unable to build additional functionality due to this "partial" functionality.
Is there a way to directly post to the A/R TCS Payable Account, instead of the Interim?
I have tried using the same G/L Account in both Interim and Payable accounts. But the Incoming Payment posts the JE with the same account getting debited and credited + the reconciliation.
Is there a way to avoid the Incoming Payment Journal Entry from shifting the amount from Interim to Payable automatically?
