Hi Felix,

Kindly close all excel worksheets before doing the price update using import from excel in SAP B1.

Hi Felix,

Please check the text-file for the following common problems:

  • Text values contain single or double quotes (' or ")
  • Text values contain "invisible" characters like tabs (CHR(9)) or line ending characters (CHR(10), CHR(13), etc.)
  • Sometimes the DTW requires numeric values with a dot (.) as a decimal separator character instead of a comma (,), or vice versa. Also related to the thousands separator characters (for example 1.000,000 vs 1,000.000).

Please adapt your file and test it on a test database first.

Regards,

Johan

Hi felixu88,

One other common problem, is using preset values in the file, that are not in B1, like a items group code that exists in the source company, but not in the destination company. Also, for example, using YES when the DTW wants only Y.

Your test file does not have the headers from the template. Could you please attach a version that does have the column titles?

Regards,

Johan

Hi Johan,capture.png

this is not DTW import, only import by Sap function, please check the attachment,

and the picture's value match with previous txt file

Thanks

Hi felixu88,

Could you please remove columns 5 - 9 from your file, and test?

The file should look like this:

CN19/2021	3	75	RMB
XG08/2019	3	315	RMB

Regards,

Johan

Hi Felix,

do you really used an excel file?

The file must be a tab delimited text-file and it may not be open in another programm (excel, editor) while importing it.

Hi loh,

Thank you for your feedback.

Yes, I had used a tab delimited text-file, system crash when I click 'OK' and pop-up the error in attachment.

B1 version is 10.0 (10.00.150), while it's ok in version 9.1 in another server.

so whether is version issue or not?

Thanks!

BR

Are you sure the file is closed, before importing?
