Business Partner Field in "Post General Ledger Entries" and "Upload General Journal Entries"

Dear all,

Is it possible to add the "Business Partner" Field in "Post General Ledger Entries" and "Upload General Journal Entries" apps. I haven't been able to find a way to do it and we need to post to GL accounts (not in subledgers) with values in "Business Partner" Field.

In SAP all revenues are managed from Sales and Distribution and not to be posted manually. For revenue adjustments, see Event Based Revenue Recognition processes.

You should use the appropriate processes based on SAP Best Practices for your purposes and avoid manual postings directly to GL accounts as those are not designed for these transactions, so are limited for what can be informed.

Business Partners in SAP represent a person or an organization in SAP, like employee, supplier, customer, bank etc.

In which case a GL account posting will have a BP out of this cases that requires you need a field ?

Which type of organization are trying to post under this BP field in the journal entry ? We need more context to answer your question.

Hello Javier,

Sorry for the late reply. For example for Revenue Provisions or accounting adjustments that doesn't flow from subledgers but there is a wide variety of examples of posting for different company codes required by the client to post on Business Partner without flowing through subledgers.

I have creating a coding block based on a CDS to have the Business Partner values but it is not the standard field "Business Partner" and therefore doesn't fit the requirement.

Is it possible to have the "Business Partner" custom field in "Post General Ledger Entries" and "Upload General Journal Entries" apps.
