Basic out of stock report

Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me the basic out of stock report available in SAP?

Also do we have any report which shows hand stock, less sales committed, less 2 month forecast for example to show the gaps?

Yes, you can use MD07 to identify stock outs. MD07 features three columns that show stock coverage in days. The first one shows the coverage of stock on hand. The other two are customizable so they can show the coverage of stock on hand + planned receipts.

The stock coverage is expressed in days. So it's straight forward to identify incoming stock outs.

On top of that you can customize traffic light indicators and have a red light triggered if stock coverage is less than X days.

Your best bet is MD07 "stock / requirements list". It shows an overview of demand/supply balance, with current stock and stock coverage. In my opinion it's the best tool to identify stock outs.

Can we use MD07 for out of stock report too?
