Assign Default Profit Center to Accounts

Dear Community,

We have the requirement of changing the default profit center - 1100 for journal entries, when journal entries are posting to dummy to profit center 9999.

journal entry before the configuration:

Cash/Bank A/C DR 100 9999 PC

Accounts payable A/C CR 100 9999PC

Configuration:

We have been working on the SAP Public Cloud. We have assigned default profit center-1100 for accounts payable and cash G/L accounts in Assign Default Profit Center to Accounts configuration node in CBC. Even after assigning still it is hitting 9999 profit center.

journal entry after the above configuration:

Cash/Bank A/C DR 100 9999 PC

Accounts payable A/C CR 100 9999PC

Is there any way to replace the profit center from 9999 to 1100 in journal entry postings ?

And also we have checked for the dummy profit center configuration, but we did not find the dummy profit center configuration. Please help where we can go through the dummy profit center configuration in SAP Public cloud/ is it possible to change dummy profit center from 9999 to 1100 ?

Please kindly advise on the above queries.

Thanks for sharing the KBA.

Will it have any have impact on the document splitting , if we change default profit center from 9999 to 1100 for unassigned process ?

As I know it should not impact document splitting.
