Asset down payment acquisition reversal issue

Hi Gurus and Experts 

I have one query that user do the advance  payment for asset in 2021 and in 2022 and 2023 no transaction take place for same asset but system still calculate depreciation and asset value comes in negative.what is reason behind this.

And another issue is if we reverse this posting what will be impact reversal entry as user want to reverse asset acquisition

Did you set the negative values allowed flag? You can find the flag in the depreciation area.

User doesn't want to reverse depreciation but want to reverse advance payment without affecting bank account.Since payment was withdrawn from their account.
