Are you aware of the APIs or the way to integrate BPC to Group Reporting (ACDOCU S/4 Hana)?

is it really possible?

Integration between Group Reporting and BPC 11.1 Our client is interested in GR for consolidation and BPC 11.1 for planning purposes. Looking at the SAP roadmap and their landscape this seems to be best combo.

Based on our experience with GR this looks tricky or may not be even possible. Basically we would need to pull the balance sheet and cash flow from GR for BS and CF planning on BPC 11.1. Pulling the data from ACDOCU may be tricky because from 1909 in GR they introduced the so called 'new reporting logic' which in the end means that the CDS views used in GR to read and prepare the data for reporting have A LOT of embedded logic. I mean, not all the 'rows' in the table behave the same way, there are factors like the subitem (flow), posting level..., that affect. For example, stand alone data don't belong to conso groups, just to entities, however conso adjustments or any other data imputed during the conso process belongs to entity AND conso group. Also the versions and ledgers are quite misleading. Check it here

I guess there is no standard view to feed BPC with GR data, I know there are some API's but I don't know if we can use them in BPC. https://help.sap.com/viewer/44ec04bc8de24103b400d261fde99462/1909.000/en-US/569960bcd8da4191a0bef41d...Any help on this?

There are one api for posting data into ACDOCU (API_CNSLDTNGRPJRNENTR).

Hi There,

There is an API documented in the blog below that comes with the reporting logic, however, it does not support any Delta processing.

SAP BW/4HANA extraction for SAP S/4HANA On-premise for Group Reporting | SAP Blogs

This blog above was published for private / onpremise cause it was tested on such landscape.

There is a Video at the end of the page that demonstrate the consumption of the API.

This should allow you to pull the data from Group Reporting with all the elimination detail classified to a company, profit center and segment hierarchy with the proper effective/key date.
