Dear community,
After running the depreciation (posting) for the assets. What options do I have in order to (re)allocate some depreciation in a different cost center?
Many thanks,
Best regards,
Marlene
Hello Marlene,
You can assign a different cost center for a specific time period with in the asset master record, which is nothing but time dependent assignment of cost center which is possible only if both cost center shares the same business area and functional area.
Also in case your requirement is to depreciate the assets into several cost centers, then either achieve the same using CO allocation logic or making use of assets sub-number so that different cost centers can be assigned. Refer to the below thread for the same;

To reverse depreciation run, change the depreciation key to 0000. This will recalculate and post positive depreciation to negate the already posted depreciation while keeping the wrong cost center assigned. You can then process the depreciation run reassigning the correct cost center and depreciation key. Please test this process in the Q system before processing in production.
Already posted depreciation can never be undone as such, but a posting of the equal and opposite amount is to "cancel" it out.
