Rune,

I think that this is a similar post to another that you had where another forum member recommended looking at the SDK sample code for install. Have you looked at the sample C# installer code as well as the VB sample installer code that comes with the Business One SDK ...

...\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One SDK\Samples\COM UI\CSharp\14.AddOnInstaller

and ...

...\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One SDK\Samples\COM UI\VB.NET\14.AddOnInstaller

As well as you are able to download the source code for the B1DE tools and look at the installer code as well as actually running the "C# B1 AddOn Wizard" that you get when you install B1DE and will create the install code for you?

Hi Eddy,

The template in B1DE to generate a template in VS2005 doesn’t work; it gives you wrong path. Then I change the path and dll in VS2005 doesn’t work. It is reported to SAP.

B1DE, Simple Installer

This wizard uses a custom form to create a setup program with minimum effort on your part. This installer is more suitable for novice users who do not wish to invest time in creating a professional installer.

I do not wish to invest time in creating a professional installer which is used by every SAP Business Partners.

The Forum is to share knowledge, source code and deliver good software to our customers.

30 people have now looked at my message; either they don’t know, or they like to have the same information or they do not want to share the source code.

Every one I have talked to has changed the installer, why not share the information? What will you lose if we develop the Installer together in Forum, so we can deliver our SDK software to the customer?

Show me the Code is my message to all Forum members!

Thank you,

Rune
